Cable Machine Adduction

For healthy hips and firm, toned thighs, it’s crucial to train your adductor muscles (inner thighs). While compound movements like squats and sumo deadlifts engage these muscles, isolating them becomes more effective with the cable machine.

Here’s how to do the Cable Adduction

Attach an ankle strap to one ankle and connect it to the cable machine at ankle height. Step away from the machine to pull the cable out. Stand tall and hold onto the machine for stability. Keep both legs straight, allowing your strapped leg to be pulled out to the side. Then, pull that leg down towards your midline and in front of your supporting leg. Reverse the movement, returning your strapped leg to the starting position under control.

Ensure the movement originates from the hip joint, keeping the rest of your body as still as possible.
